"Pigment spots can now be treated very effectively with the help of a laser."

Pigment spots of different origins exist: liver spots, freckles, age spots.

Many of us are bothered by the disturbing pigment spots that appear on our skin, which can even develop as a result of excessive sun exposure, UV radiation, and chemicals.

How does the laser work for pigment spots?

The laser emits short-term but high-energy pulses on the skin with pigment spots, while they are absorbed in the melanin of the pigment spots and explode them. As a result of the heat, the skin contracts and collagen production increases. The pigment particles explode without heating the skin, thus preventing scar formation. Thus, after the laser pigment spot treatment, the skin surface regenerates quickly, thereby helping the re-formation of the epithelial layer.

Removal of pigment spots

What are the benefits of pigment spot removal treatment?

  • fast, efficient and safe
  • does not cause scars, discoloration, or wounds
  • removes pigment spots painlessly
  • Even after 1-3 treatments, the result is very impressive
  • the skin regenerates extremely quickly

What to do in the different stages of pigment spot removal?

Before the removal of the pigment spots, tanning beds and sun exposure should be avoided within 2 weeks prior to the treatment. Do not use tanning cream for 1 week before the treatment. After the pigment spots have been removed, you must use an effective sunscreen and avoid sunbathing, tanning beds for 3 months and saunas for 2 weeks!

How do we perform pigment spot removal?

In the case of treating a smaller area, we perform the removal without anesthesia (with anesthesia on request), in the case of a larger area, we perform the removal with anesthesia, so the treatment is painless. The duration of the intervention depends on the size and number of spots, approx. It takes 5-20 minutes. The pigment spot will lighten immediately after the first intervention. To achieve the right result, approx. 1-3 treatments are required. The treatments are repeated every 8 weeks.

In our practice, we remove the pigment spots, liver spots. To remove raised spots from the skin CO2 lasert is used, while for superficial skin defects (also on hands) fractional laser we use Spots not of age, but of hormonal origin (e.g. due to pregnancy), as well as skin defects appearing around the eyes and mouth With a Q-switched laser or combined treatment.

During the consultation before the treatment, the doctor will determine which laser treatment is suitable and the exact price will be decided at that time.

Which areas can be treated with a laser?

  • arc
  • neck
  • cleavage
  • hand
  • sing

With laser removal, in addition to the fact that pigment spots fade, they disappear

  • the skin becomes tighter and more velvety
  • the pores are constricted
  • the texture of the skin will be finer and its quality will improve
  • surface wrinkles are smoothed out

The treatment may involve only rare and mild, short-term complications. After the pigment spots are removed, a whitish discoloration appears in the treated area, followed by redness, swelling, and a burning sensation, which disappears within a few hours. After the treatment, crust formation and peeling occur for a few days.

Laser pigment spot removal is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, if there is an infection on the skin surface to be treated, if there is a tendency to pathological scarring, diabetes, epilepsy, autoimmune disease, connective tissue disease, immunosuppressive treatment in case of, if problematic skin symptoms appeared during previous laser treatment, in case of taking drugs that increase photosensitivity.
